Fritz the Piper
I wanted to make a high gravity ale using noble hops and the category it fit in was Strong Scotch Ale. So I named it Fritz the Piper

Steep: | Sttep the grains in 160 deg water for 30 minutes. Dunked the bag a few time and gave it a couple of gentle squeezes. | |||||||
Boil: | 60 minutes | SG 1.067 | 6 gallons | |||||
8.3 lb. Light malt extract 2 lb. Light dry malt extract |

Added 1 tsp Irish Moss, 1/2 tsp diamonium phosphate, 1/2 tsp More Beer yeast nutrient. | ||||||||
Hops: | 2 oz. Hallertauer (3.6% AA, 60 min.) 1.5 oz. Saaz (3.0% AA, 30 min.) 1 oz. Saaz (aroma) |

Yeast: | Lallemond Nottingham, started in pint of wort for 40 minutes. Oxygenated for 60 minutes with filtered airstone and aquarium air pump. |

Carbonation: | Will Carbonate in the bottle 3/4 cups corn sugar in 5 gallons |
