Alcohol: 6.3% v/v (4.9% w/w)
Water: Used Bottled Water (Mountain Ice Brand)
Grain: 8 oz. British Munich
Mash: 80% efficiency
Grains for 20 Min (not boiling but about 165°).
Boil: 65 minutes SG 1.073 .8 gallons
8 oz. Cane sugar
8 oz. Honey
First 50 minutes strictly the Cascade, last 15 Add Hallertau & Irish Moss (1/5 tsp)
Hops: .5 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Hallertauer Hersbrucker (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: No Starter used, however Yeast was a mixture of common California Yeast (4 grams), and generic Champagne yeast (2 grams).
Log: Brewing date: Sept. 24 2005
Fermentation Temp: 68° - 72°
Bottling Date: Sept. 27 2005 (Primed with 1oz priming sugar)
Carbonation: primed and capped 8-) let the little yeasties do their work.
Tasting: Not overwelming flavor, but just about perfect. next batch will use less sugar, and a bit more honey.
