Pucker Up Weizen
This tasty little concoction is a perfect beer for a nice summer night on the deck. Lemon zest and Coriander seeds give it a unique flavor and pleasant aroma. quickly.

Hops: | 1 oz. Hallertauer (3.5% AA, 60 min.) 1 oz. Hallertauer (3.5% AA, 30 min.) 1 oz. Tettnanger (aroma) |

Yeast: | Used a starter and White Labs WLP300 Hefeweizen Ale and had a nice healthy fermentation within 6 hours. | |||||||
Log: | Added the zest of one lemon when I moved it to the secondary. Be sure to microwave the zest for 30 seconds or so to kill any microbes. | |||||||
Carbonation: | 4 oz. of Corn Sugar. Left at room temp for 2 weeks and then moved it to the fridge for 2 more. | |||||||
Tasting: | The Lemon and Coriander add a nice zip. You can increase the amount of zest to suit your tastes, but be careful. Once it's in, it's in. |
