add crushed malt to 4 quarts 138 degree F water and mix well. Temperature should stabilize to 122 degrees F. Add heat if necessary hold temperature about 122 degrees For 30 min Stir every 5 min Add boiling water 2 qt & raise temp to 156 F Hold for 30 min Bring to boil 1/2 gal Finish at 160 degrees F for 20 to 40 min when iodine test passes Boil 45 min hops cool stock pot in sink add wort to 5 liter carlo rossi jug |
