Steep: | Mash grains in 3 gallon water at 155 to 160 d.f. When mash is brought to temp, place in oven at 200 degrees for 1 hr. Sparge w/ 6 qts 170 d.f. water. | |||||||
Boil: | 70 minutes | SG 1.099 | 3 gallons | |||||

Add Wheat extract, stirring well. When dissolved bring kettle to boil. After hot break, add 1 oz Perle and start 60 min timer.@ 30 min add 1/2 oz Liberty hops and 2 heaping TBS Irish Moss. @ 45 min add crushed Grains of Paradise. @ 58 min add 1/2 oz remaining Liberty hops. @6o min remove kettle from heat and force cool to 80 d.f. Areate wort, pitch yeast and attach blowby rig. Ferment at 65 d.f. |
