Alcohol: 7.6% v/v (6.0% w/w)
Grain: 0.46kg Flaked wheat
Steep: Steep grains for 20 minutes at 155°F
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.128 3 gallons
4.54kg Wheat extract
Add extract when temperature reaches 185°F.
Add 6 tablespoons of dried orange peel for last 15 minutes.
Add 2 zest of orange in fermentator
Hops: 49g Hallertauer Hersbrucker (5% AA, 60 min.)
27g Hallertauer Hersbrucker (aroma)
Yeast: Munton Dry
Log: 8/31/08: Total Brew time: 2 hours 20 minutes
9/20/08: Transfer to secondary
9/27/08: Kegged in a cornellous keg
Carbonation: Force carbonation
Tasting: Appreance is that of a beautiful dark wheat. The intial scent is that of a coconut(long story). The feel is a full mouthful that exhibits a thick coat of syurp on tongue. The orange peels give a nice flavor to that of the malt. Definitely a brew that is worth making for the ones that like new and exciting beers. Enjoy
