Summer Blue

A recipe based on internet sweep for "Blue Moon" clones--the Honey Malt, use of
unmalted wheat, and the amount of the spice additions are the only changes to what I found.
No finings/irish moss used-- let the wheat do its thing!

Color:
5 HCU (~5 SRM)
Bitterness: 13 IBU
OG: 1.050 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 5.2% v/v (4.1% w/w)
Water: West Central New Jersey tap water used (under sink cartridge type).
Grain: 5 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. Wheat malt
1 lb. Flaked oats
3 lb. Raw wheat
.5 lb. Gambrinus Honey Malt
Mash: 80% efficiency
No separate grain mash for wheat.
1/2 lb rice hulls mixed with crushed grain(for the 4 lbs. of wheat).
Single Infusion mash, target range 1.051-1.053

Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.045 6.7 gallons
First-wort hopping used for total hop addition.
20 grams fresh ground coriander seed at 45 minutes.
10 grams fresh ground dried sweet orange peel at 55 minutes.
Hops: 1 oz. Hallertauer Hersbrucker (4.4% AA, 60 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast 1056, added directly from smack pack.
