Steep: | Place grains in hop bag and drop in the water when the burner is lit. Remove when water comes to a boil prior to adding extracts. | |||||||

Prior to the boil, place pumpkin pure' on a flat cookie sheet with brown sugar sprinkled over the top and bake at 400 until the sugar starts to carmelize. 30 minutes: Pre-baked pumpkin pure' 2.5 lb Amber Extract 4.5 lb Light Extract 2 oz hops in a hop bag 5 minutes: 3 tbl Pumpkin pie spice 1 tsp vanilla extract |

Log: | 5-10 days in the primary, move to secondary for at least seven days prior to bottling/kegging. | |||||||
Tasting: | Made this beer last year and it turned out well. The wife wants it more spicey, so it's getting an extra tablespoon of pumpkin pie spice this year. Also changed up the grains and hops a bit. |
