Erdbeere Honig Lager (Strawbeery Honey)
This is a lager version of my favorite Strawbeery Honey Ale. I got a new mini-fridge for Christmas and this will be my first lager made with the new fridge.

4 lb. 5 oz. Light dry malt extract 3 lb. Honey |

Add honey with 20 minutes left. Add Irish Moss at 15 minutes left. | ||||||||
Hops: | 1.5 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.) 1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 30 min.) .5 oz. Cascade (aroma) |

Yeast: | German Lager Yeast in a 1 quart starter. Add 5 tsp of yeast nutrient to wort at pitching time. | |||||||
Log: | Primary fermentation at recommended temperature on yeast package. Add 24 oz. of strawberry dessert syrup when racking to secondary. May start aggressive fermentation again. Keep at recommended temperature until secondary fermenatation slows down. Rack again if necessary and lager at 34° for 6 to 8 weeks. | |||||||
Carbonation: | 4 oz of corn sugar. May be interesting to try priming with honey intstead. |
