This is a Honey, Amber, Green Chili Brew. It is my favorite when it comes to having a Specialty.

Water: | Add 1/2 Teaspoon of Gypsum. | |||||||
Grain: | 8 oz. American crystal 20L | |||||||
Steep: | Steep the Crystal up to 170 degrees. Set the Burner on Low-Med and took about 35 minutes to get up to 170 degrees. | |||||||
Boil: | 60 minutes | SG 1.125 | 3 gallons | |||||
3 lb. 3 oz. Amber malt extract 3 lb. 3 oz. Light malt extract 2 lb. 8 oz. Honey |

Used 2 Tablespoons of Malto-Dextrine. After you remove the Wort from the burner and it is cooling. Boil the green chilis to Pausterize them. Then strain off the water. Put the Chili's in the Primary. |

Hops: | 1.5 oz. Cascade (4.4% AA, 60 min.) .5 oz. Cascade (aroma) |

Yeast: | Muntons Dry Ale Yeast 6 grams | |||||||
Log: | After Primary (5 days). Rack to Secondary. In Secondary add 1 cup of Light DME and 20 ozs of Boiled water that has cooled. Bottle 5 days later. Using 1 cup of light DME as a primer. |

Tasting: | Very Very Great. Nice color. Not much head. But smooth with a slight honey tang followed with the lovely taste of Green Chili. |
