Arrogant Matt-Nerd Ale
This is a slightly modified version of the recipe from thebrewingnetwork.com's "Can You Brew It?" show, scaled to my rig/efficiency. The brewers found that with an OG of 1.066, a grist of 10% Special B and the remainder 2-Row, and the following hop schedule, they produced a beer that was very similar to A.B. in a side-by-side tasting with the Stone product. Homebrewers have criticized the recipe as producing a too-light-colored ale without enough bitterness. I've upped the special B by 4% and increased all the hop additions by about 50%. Brew date: 4/8/11.
