After steeping grains, remove grain bag, add extract and hops, boil for 30 minutes. | ||||||||
Hops: | 2 oz. Nugget (12.2% AA, 30 min.) | |||||||
Yeast: | Irish ale yeast 1082? Left over from previous irish red ale. American Ale yeast would also work well. | |||||||
Log: | Special note on pecan flavor: We toasted approx 1.5 cups of whole pecans, chopped them up after letting them cool, placed them in a pint sized Mason jar and filled with high quality Vodka. After approx two weeks the pecans should be strained out and the vodka/pecan liquor added to secondary. |
