Hank's Pale Ale

Straight forward pale ale.
Lighter than some of the brews I've
made recently.

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
19 HCU (~11 SRM)
Bitterness: 33 IBU
OG: 1.055 FG: 1.015
Alcohol: 5.1% v/v (4.0% w/w)
Grain: 1.0 lb. British crystal 50-60L
Steep: Steep grains until boil in 3 gallons tap water
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.091 3 gallons
7 lb. Light malt extract
Hops used are pellets
Hops: 1 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (aroma)
Yeast: Dry ale yeast
Log: Brewed 4/28/03
Carbonation: Bottle with 1 & 1/4 cups light DME
Tasting: Brewed last night, gravity tasting
was good. Nothing too complicated
so there should be no suprises.
