Chocolate Espresso Porter

42 HCU (~19 SRM)
Bitterness: 25 IBU
OG: 1.100 FG: 1.008
Alcohol: 11.8% v/v (9.3% w/w)
Water: 1 tsp water crystals
Grain: 2 lb. American 2-row
6 oz. American chocolate
2 lb. Flaked rice
Steep: Steep grains in sack for 60 minutes in 1.5 gal of 65C water.
Place sack in colander above boil pot.
Slowly rinse with 78C water.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.200 2.5 gallons
7 lb. Light malt extract
2 lb. Brown sugar
2 lb. Honey
1 tsp Irish Moss
Added 2 - 8 Oz Dark Chocolate Bars and one large pot of Espresso
Hops: 1 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast 3787 Trappist High Gravity Yeast
