Uncle Dave's Special Porter

Uncle Dave is a really great friend of mine. He's kind of a bitter old man (even though he's 25) but the ladies think he's a big sweety. So in honor of Uncle Dave I give you Uncle Dave's Special Porter.

Brewer: Stinky Boy Email: skablazr@unix.temple.edu
Beer: Uncle Dave's Special Porter Style: Robust Porter
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 2.5 gallons
Color:
68 HCU (~27 SRM)
Bitterness: 34 IBU
OG: 1.061 FG: 1.008
Alcohol: 6.9% v/v (5.4% w/w)
Water: I used regular bottled spring water from the corner store.
Grain: 8 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
8 oz. British crystal 70-80L
4 oz. British black patent
Steep: I put the grains in some cold water and put it on the stove. I raised the temperature to just about boiling over a 30 minute time span. Then I sparged the grains...blah blah blah.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.204 .75 gallons
3 lb. Dark dry malt extract
Nothing special here.
Hops: 2 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 5 min.)
Yeast: oooohhh...this is special...wyeast Special London that is.
Log: I let it ferment for about 11 days I think.
I bottled it a month ago. so you do the math.
Carbonation: I used a half a cup of priming sugar.
Tasting: MMMMMM.
