North by Northwest Porter
This is a slightly modified less hoppy version of the 2005 Big Brew "Positively Porter" - still very hoppy but quite good.

Tasting: | Beautiful color (right on chart), toffee aroma, some hop notes but not as great as would be expected with amount and type of aroma hop used. Slight malt to start but goes to bitter quickly and lingers. Definitely a hopped version (did not want to go with the 76 IBU's in the Big Brew recipe), but going to enjoy. Will make in the 35-40 IBU hop range next time. |
