Alcohol: 6.8% v/v (5.3% w/w)
Grain: 8 oz. British crystal 70-80L
8 oz. American black patent
1 lb. Roasted barley
8 oz. Flaked barley
Steep: Bring 2 gallons of water to 155°. Add grains (in a grain bag) and adjust temperature to 152°. Sparge with 1-1/2 gallons of 170° water.
Boil: 75 minutes SG 1.057 6 gallons
6 lb. Light malt extract
2 lb. Light dry malt extract
NOTE: Hopping rates are for a full-volume boil. For a partial boil batch, increase hops to 1.2 oz. Chinook, 1 oz. Northern Brewer.
Hops: .8 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 60 min.)
.8 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
