Type: All grain Size: 12 gallons
Color:
121 HCU (~40 SRM)
Bitterness: 38 IBU
OG: 1.051 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 5.3% v/v (4.1% w/w)
Water: Water from a new well.
Grain: 16 lb. American 2-row
2 lb. Wheat malt
1 lb. American crystal 60L
2 lb. 8 oz. American crystal 90L
2 lb. Roasted barley
1 lb. Flaked oats
6 oz. American chocolate
Mash: 69% efficiency
Single infusion mash for 90 min. Started at 150° but couldn't hold
temp so it got down to 130° by the end of the mash. Brewed at a
buddy's house and it snowed all day.
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.047 13 gallons
Add Irish Moss last at last 15 min
Hops: 3 oz. Northern Brewer (8% AA, 90 min.)
Yeast: Used 1056 from the turtle.
Carbonation: Keg at 25 psi for 48 hrs.
