Color:
165 HCU (~50 SRM)
Bitterness: 17 IBU
OG: 1.079 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 8.7% v/v (6.8% w/w)
Grain: 210g British Munich
100g Belgian chocolate
140g Roasted barley
83g Belgian Special B
151g Rolled oats
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.079 3 gallons
1.1kg Light dry malt extract
1.1kg Dark dry malt extract
.25lbs Lactose (Flameout)
Hops: 16g Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.)
9g Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Safbrew Abbaye Ale: Ideal for high alcohol (up to 11%) Belgian Ales and Imperial IPA styles. High flocculation means it settles out well, ferment at 60 to 76 degrees F. We have tested this and found it produces a beer with a strong Belgian character, so we would not recommend it for American IPA styles, although Belgian IPA's might be well served. 11.5 gram packet is good for pitching 5 gallons
Log: Brewed: 6/04/16
.5lb Açaí berries (Secondary)
1lb Bananas (Secondary)

Tasting: A play on a Brazilian favorite, this oatmeal milk stout is infused with the super-food, açaí berries, and bananas. Coupled with oats and lactose to compliment the acidity, this brew packs a distinguished flavor and smooth mouthfeel.
