Local tap water is pretty close to optimum.
Grain: 7 lb. 8 oz. American 2-row
8 oz. American crystal 40L
1 lb. Flaked corn
Mash: 80% efficiency
Used a single stage infusion in a Igloo cooler.
Mash in temp - 168F, 4 Gal.
Temp stablized at 155F.
Conversion occured within 60 Min.
Sparged with 170F, approx 5 Gal.
Sparge time 45 min.
Total runoff - 6.5 Gal.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.041 6.5 gallons
Added 1 tsp. Irish Moss at 45 min into boil.
Hops: 1 oz. Cascade (4.4% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (4.4% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Hallertauer (aroma)
Yeast: Used Wyeast British II / Canadian, in a 1 qt starter.
Active fermentation within 6 hr.
Log: Primary in glass - 7 days
Secondary in glass - 5 days
Carbonation: Racked to keg, force carb.
Tasting: Waiting to taste.....
