Alcohol: 5.3% v/v (4.2% w/w)
Grain: 8.5 lb. Belgian pale
1.00 lb. German Munich
8.0 oz. Belgian biscuit
8.0 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
1.00 oz. British chocolate
Mash: 70% efficiency
mash at 154° for 1 hour.
sparge w/ 170° water for 1 hour.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.039 7 gallons
add 1 tsp of irish moss in the last 10 min of boil.
Hops: 0.5 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 60 min.)
0.5 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 30 min.)
0.5 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Fuggles (aroma)
Yeast: wlp051 in a 2 quart starter
Log: put the .5 oz of fuggles in the primary for aroma. raked to secondary after 1 week. bottled after 2 weeks in secondary. drinking 2 weeks after bottled.
Carbonation: bottle carb.
2/3 cup of corn sugar boiled in 2 cups of water, cooled to 70° and put in bottling bucket.
