This IPA is based on the original Devil's Cove IPA recipe and hopefully is even better than the original.

Water: | 1.5 tsp gypsum. Also use nice hard water to support a high hopped beer. | |||||||
Grain: | 10 lb. American 2-row 2.5 lb. German Vienna 1 lb. American crystal 40L 1 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils) |

Mash: | 75% efficiency | |||||||
Strike at 175 F, infusion mash at 149 F for 60 minutes. Recirculate mash for 15 minutes prior to sparge. Sparge using 190 F water to yield 170 runnings. | ||||||||
Boil: | 60 minutes | SG 1.053 | 7.5 gallons | |||||
Irish Moss, also add oak chips in strain bag to last 30 minutes of boil. | ||||||||
Hops: | 1 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 60 min.) .5 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.) .5 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.) .5 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 15 min.) |

Yeast: | Wyeast 1056 American Ale with starter. Oxygenated prior to pitching. | |||||||
Log: | Dry hop secondary after 7 days with .5 oz Cascade. |
