Water: Used water from deep well. No chlorine, no filtering. High mineral content.
Grain: 2 lb. American crystal 20L
Steep: Steep grain in muslin bag starting with cold water in brewpot. Remove just before water boils.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.173 4 gallons
3 lb. Amber malt extract
1 lb. Corn sugar
14 lb. Light malt extract
Hops: 8 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.)
8 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 60 min.)
2 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 45 min.)
2 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 15 min.)
