Lone Coyote Amber IPA

This is one of my favorite brews.
I have made it several times and it always turns out very nice.

Brewer: kdf Email: myhomebrew1@hotmail.com
Beer: Lone Coyote Amber IPA Style: India Pale Ale
Type: All grain Size: 5.5 gallons
Color:
50 HCU (~22 SRM)
Bitterness: 151 IBU
OG: 1.078 FG: 1.017
Alcohol: 7.9% v/v (6.2% w/w)
Water: I have pretty good tap water so I use it. There is no bad taste left in the beer.
If you have bad brewing water then I would use bottled or filtered water.
Grain: 4 lb. 8 oz. American 2-row
5 lb. German Vienna
1 lb. 8 oz. Belgian aromatic
1 lb. 8 oz. American crystal 60L
1 lb. 8 oz. American crystal 80L
2 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Mash: 75% efficiency
Mash in with 4 gallons of water at 155°. Let it sit for 90 minutes.(I do between 60 to 90 Mins, depends on how I feel.)
Sparge with 4.5 gallons of water at 180°
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.061 7 gallons
Irish Moss last 15 minutes of the boil.
Hops: 3 oz. Centennial (10.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (aroma)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (aroma)
Yeast: White Labs WLP 001
I make a starter 1 day before brewing, or I rack it on a yeast cake of the same yeast.
Log: After one week in primary, I rack over to secondary and dry hop with 2oz. of Cascade. I leave it in secondary at least two weeks.
Carbonation: I force carbonate in a keg. So use whatever method you like.
Tasting: This beer has a very nice mix of malty taste along with a nice hoppy taste.
You can really taste each part of this brew.
