Pining for Pliney
I saw a version of the "poor-mans" Pliney by "Matt up North" on the Homebrew Talk website. Since I drink that most of the time at RRBC I thought I would attempt the same and keep the hop price down as well. I changed out the grains some to make the color closer to the real Pliney than what I saw on the original receipe. I also boosted the IBU's up a little and switched from all-grain to partial while still trying to keep the good old alcohol at the Pliney 8.5%.
