Water: Fresh spring water from far Northern Maine.
Grain: .5 lb. American crystal 20L
1 lb. American crystal 40L
Steep: Steeped grains for 30 mins. at ~180°.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.145 2.5 gallons
1 lb. Light malt extract
4 lb. Amber malt extract
3.5 lb. Light dry malt extract
1 tsp Irish Moss at 15 minutes before end of boil.
Hops: 2 oz. Perle (8% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast 1056, American Ale.
