Alcohol: 4.6% v/v (3.6% w/w)
Water: Filtered water for my PUR filter system or use distilled water from the store. Keep it real!
Grain: 3.50 lb. German Pilsner
1. lb. German Vienna
1. lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
1 lb. 8 oz. American 2-row
Mash: 80% efficiency
155 degrees for 60 min + or - 2 degrees.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.071 6 gallons
6.0 lb. Light malt extract
Irish moss 2 teaspoons
Hops: 1.19 oz. Perle (8% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Tettnanger (4.5% AA, 60 min.)
0.58 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 45 min.)
0.59 oz. Perle (8% AA, 30 min.)
0.32 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Tettnanger (4.5% AA, 15 min.)
1.0 oz. Saaz (aroma)
.5 oz. Tettnanger (aroma)
Yeast: German kolsch variety of your choice. white labs or wyeast
Log: summer beer in winter is just as good!
Carbonation: Force or use corn sugar the usual way
Tasting: very light and paltable amoung all beer lovers.
