Honey Do Pale

A nice crisp pale ale brewed for working on my seemingly endless "Honey Do List". Cheers!

Beer: Honey Do Pale Style: American Pale Ale
Type: All grain Size: 5.5 gallons
Color:
10 HCU (~7 SRM)
Bitterness: 54 IBU
OG: 1.053 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 5.6% v/v (4.4% w/w)
Water: 1 Tbs 5.2 Stabilizer and 2 tsp gypsum.
Grain: 8 lb. 12 oz. American 2-row
4 oz. Gambrinus Honey Malt
8 oz. American crystal 60L
8 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Mash: 73% efficiency
155°F for 60 minutes. 1 gallon decoction added to 1 gallon boiling water. Bring decoction to boil and reintroduce to the mash to mash out at 165°F for 10 minutes. Continuously sparge with 170°F water to collect 7.5 gallons in the brewpot.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.039 7.5 gallons
10 oz. Clover Honey
Add honey, Amarillo and Cascade hops at flame out and whirlpool for two minutes before chilling.
Hops: .25 oz. Warrior (16.7% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Citra (13.4% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Citra (13.4% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Amarillo (leaf) (aroma)
1 oz. Cascade (leaf) (aroma)
Yeast: White Labs 001 in a 1000ml starter.
Log: Primary 1 week at 65°F, secondary 2 weeks at 65°F. Keg and force carbonate to 2.5 volumes.
Carbonation: 2.5 volumes Keg: 11.2 psi @ 38°F
Corn Sugar: 2.90 oz. for 5.5 gallons @ 38°F
