Be like Pike Pale Ale
One of my favorite beers is Pike Pale Ale from Seattle. Their website breaks down each of their beers into grains used, hops used, IBUs, etc. I used this site to try to reproduce the beer exactly. It might be a little more bitter, but I'm hoping I'll be close. The color is right on!

Steep: | Steeped grains at 160° for 45 minutes and sparged with half gallon of more 160 water through strainer into boiling pot. No grain bag. Also, didn't use a hop bag this time. It's much hoppier than previous batches using a hop bag. I actually used Magnum hops instead of Chinook because this site doesn't list Magnum. Same AA%.

6 lb. 8 oz. Light malt extract

Yeast: | Wyeast 1332 Northwest ale yeast. No starter. After bottling the beer has nice fruity esters very similar to the original Pike Pale.
