You can never have enough reasonably hoppy APA around...

Beer: Yet Another APA Style: American Pale Ale
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
22 HCU (~12 SRM)
Bitterness: 36 IBU
OG: 1.065 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 7.1% v/v (5.6% w/w)
Water: My tap water has chloramines in it -- I use only bottled water. This recipe was done with all bottled spring water. The source of the spring water was central Pennsylvania.
Grain: 1.00 lb. American crystal 60L
Steep: Steeped the American Crystal at approximately 160°f for 30 minutes & sparged by dunking & squeezing.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.108 3 gallons
8.00 lb. Light malt extract
6.0 oz. Corn sugar
Added 1 tsp. Irish Moss at 15 minutes.
Hops: 1.00 oz. Nugget (12% AA, 60 min.)
1.00 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.)
1.00 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 5 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast 1056 American Ale "Pitchable" Tube -- They work great!!!
Log: The liquid extract was 2 4lb. cans of Alexander's Pale. Pitched yeast at 69°f. Fermented around 72°f. Primary 7 days. Secondary 7-14 days.
Carbonation: 5 oz. Corn Sugar -- in the bottle.
Tasting: This is about my tenth batch of APA. I always change something, but, it always turns out mmm, mmm, good. This time I tried Nugget as the primary bittering hop.
