Patriot's Pale Ale. American & British ingredients, everything you need for a fine beer and kick ass war!

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5.5 gallons
Color:
15 HCU (~10 SRM)
Bitterness: 25 IBU
OG: 1.045 FG: 1.008
Alcohol: 4.8% v/v (3.8% w/w)
Water: Burton Water salts.
Grain: 1 lb. American crystal 10L
.5 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
.5 lb. British crystal 70-80L
Steep: 2 gallons at 155 for 40mins. Sparged with 1 gallon of 155 water.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.083 3 gallons
6 lb. Light malt extract
Add water salts at start of boil.
Hops: .75 oz. Brewers Gold (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Fuggles (aroma)
Yeast: Used White Labs California V yeast culture.
Log: Rack to secondary after five days. secondary ferment for 10 days.
Carbonation: Used 3/4 cup dextrose and 1 cup water mixed into final before bottling!
