Steep: | Lightly crack malted barley put in a grain bag and heat w/ 1.5 gals of cold water. Slowly bring to boil over 30-45 minutes. Remove grain bag and add liquid and dry malt extracts and brown sugar. Bring back to boil. |

Boil: | 60 minutes | SG 1.106 | 1.5 gallons | |||||
5 oz. Light dry malt extract 4 oz. Brown sugar 3.3 lb. Amber malt extract |

Add fruggles hops and boil 45 minutes. Boil 2 oz of dried oak chips for 10 minutes. Strain and add water to wort 60 minute boil. In the last 5 minutes of boil add the dextrine malt. |

Yeast: | Wyest Scottish 1728 or White labs WLP028 Edinburgh Ale Yeast. Pitch with yeast starter. |

Keg: 1.4 psi @ 40°F Dried Malt Extract: 3.08 oz. for 5 gallons @ 70°F |
