Tasting: | This beer gained 26 points out of 30 in September 2002. It's darker than what I expected, but it still passes light, showing a deep red hue. In June 2003, it's tasting EXACTLY how I'd like a bock to taste. It has that elusive (for me) background flavour, and it's just perfectly balanced. Next time, I won't be so heavy-handed with the hops. Either that, or I'll leave it for 12 months before tasting (not likely). I'll also halve the amount of chocolate malt, and zero-in on the colour. Other than that, it's great! |
