My first attempt at a wheat recipe.

Water: | Rusty tap water. | |||||||
Grain: | 4 oz. Belgian pale 4 oz. Wheat malt 4 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils) |

Steep: | Steep grains in 2 quarts water warm to 160° F and let rest for 45 minutes. Sparge with 2 quarts water that has been heated to 160° F. |

Boil: | 60 minutes | SG 1.079 | 3.5 gallons | |||||
7 lb. Wheat extract | ||||||||
Add 2.7 Gallons to the sparge for a 3.5 Gallon boil. 1 tsp Irish Moss in last 20 minutes of boil. |

Hops: | 1 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 60 min.) .5 oz. Tettnanger (4.5% AA, 30 min.) .5 oz. Tettnanger (aroma) |

Yeast: | WYeast 3056 Bavarian Wheat Usually pitch from the tube this time I am using a starter. |
