Full Magazine Ginger Beer

This is a variation on a Ginger Beer recipe from _Zymurgy_ in an article on Mild Ale, and was suggested for
making a shandy...I like ginger ale or beer to be extremely gingery,
like Vernor's ginger ale in Michigan (in the bottle, not the can).

Type: Extract Size: 1.375 gallons
Color:
15 HCU (~9 SRM)
Bitterness: 18 IBU
OG: 1.054 FG: 1.008
Alcohol: 5.9% v/v (4.6% w/w)
Water: None, plain old Malden Ma. water...
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.074 1 gallons
1 lb. Light malt extract
1 lb. Amber malt extract
Pinch of irish moss. Add ginger at same time as hops, and strain as usual.
Hops: 6.1g Northern Brewer (7.4% AA, 60 min.)
15g Fresh Grated Ginger (60 min.)
15g Fresh Grated Ginger (aroma)
3.9g Willamette (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast 1028
Carbonation: 2.5 volumes Corn Sugar: 31.7g for 1.25 gallons @ 70°F
