Steep: | Steeped grain in 1.5 gallons of water at 140°F for 1 hour. | |||||||

12 lb. Honey 3.3 lb. Light malt extract |

2 tbs yeast nutrient and 1/2 tsp Irish moss added to boil. Malt extract was added to steeping water prior to boiling. Honey was added once the pot was removed from heat. 13 lbs of raspberries were crushed and added once the wort had cooled. |

Log: | Started on 8/13/07, it spent 2 weeks in the primary and spent 6 months in secondary. .5 oz dark toasted American oak chips were added to the secondary after the first 3 months. |

Tasting: | Very nicely balanced, the closest beer i've had is Dogfishhead's Raspberry Fort. |
