Bitterness: 43 IBU
OG: 1.061 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 6.6% v/v (5.2% w/w)
Water: use r/o water with 1 tps. gypsum added to mash and to
sparge water.
Grain: 10 lb. American 2-row
2 lb. American crystal 40L
1 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Mash: 65% efficiency
mash in with 1.5 qt/lb., 175 deg. water.
mash temp. 155 deg. for 60 min.
batch sparge 168 deg. to 7.5 gal wort.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.041 7.5 gallons
whirlfloc tablet for 15.
Hops: 1 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Saaz (aroma)
Yeast: rehydrated in 1 cup 90 deg. water after boiling,
safale us- 56
Log: brewed 4/7/07, chilled to 60 deg. with i/c useing ice water and
submersible pump,20 min. pitch yeast 60 deg., ferment at 68 deg.
for 2 weeks.
Carbonation: rack to keg and chill to 38 deg. force carbonate to 2.4v
Tasting: will comment after tasting.
