Yeast: | Wyeast #3056 Bavarian Wheat. Take note that the first time I used this yeast and similar recipe, it blew the lid off my plastic fermenter. This time I used a blowoff hose coming out of the center of my plastic lid, which worked well. At the same time I added the yeast, I added 1.5 lbs of apricot filling that I bought at my local bakery. They had it with large chunks of apricot in it, within a apricot gel base. |

Carbonation: | 2.5 volumes | Corn Sugar: 4.02 oz. for 4.5 gallons @ 70°F | ||||||
Tasting: | This beer is a wonderfully different apricot wheat! It is a full tasting strong wheat, with a very nice balance of apricot. It has a wonderfull orange unfiltered glow to it, and I am very pleased with it overall. |
