Be like Pike Pale Ale

One of my favorite beers is Pike Pale Ale from Seattle. Their website breaks down each of their beers into grains used, hops used, IBUs, etc. I used this site to try to reproduce the beer exactly. It might be a little more bitter, but I'm hoping I'll be close. The color is right on!

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
15 HCU (~9 SRM)
Bitterness: 39 IBU
OG: 1.053 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 5.5% v/v (4.3% w/w)
Water: Store bought drinking water
Grain: 6 oz. American 2-row
8 oz. German Munich
12 oz. American crystal 40L
Steep: Steeped grains at 160° for 45 minutes and sparged with half gallon of more 160 water through strainer into boiling pot. No grain bag. Also, didn't use a hop bag this time. It's much hoppier than previous batches using a hop bag. I actually used Magnum hops instead of Chinook because this site doesn't list Magnum. Same AA%.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.105 2.5 gallons
6 lb. 8 oz. Light malt extract
Used 1 tsp. Irish Moss
Hops: 1 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 45 min.)
.5 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 30 min.)
.75 oz. Willamette (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast 1332 Northwest ale yeast. No starter. After bottling the beer has nice fruity esters very similar to the original Pike Pale.
Log: Brewed on 4-29-01. Racked to secondary on 5-6, bottled on 5-13.
Carbonation: 3/4 cup corn sugar to prime. Stirred in with racking cane.
Tasting: I tasted at bottling. Wonderful hoppiness and aroma. Can't wait to try it after refrigeration!
