Budvar Clone II
My second attempt at Budvar was altered to lower the hoping rate a little. It was brewed on may 28th, Memorial Day 2001. Prost to all the Vet's out there.

Mashed in at 112F to rest at 99F for 10 min. Raised to 125F for 30 min. by infusion. Pulled first decoction & added back to raise to 148F for 2 hours. Pulled second decoction & added back to raise to 168F for 10 min. for mash out. I used a RIMS system to recirculate wort & sparge water thru mash tun continuesly, for temperature control | ||||||||

Yeast: | 1/2 gal. starter of Wyeast 2000XL Budvar Yeast. Due to 2 month old yeast had a slow start in primary. | |||||||
