Gilberts Shadow

This recipe was inspired after I found a full bottle of beer from the Gilbert brewing company. I researched and found a resident of Helena MT. He gave me a recipe his grandfather brewed around 1893. They lived in the shadow of the Gilbert brewery. I taylored this as closely as I could.
They grew their own grains back then, so he gave me an equivelent.
I am currently searching for any information on this bottle of "Gilbert Lager Beer". I would love to brew something in memory of them. If anyone knows of this beer please let me know.

Let me know also if you try this recipe..
