Steep: | Crystal and black malt steeped as water heated up. Removed and sparged upon boil. | |||||||

Hops: | 2 oz. Eroica (12% AA, 60 min.) 2 oz. Fuggles (aroma) |

Yeast: | Danstar "Windsor" Dried Yeast | |||||||
Log: | Pitched yeast way too soon...wort was still very warm. Fermentation started at once and only lasted a day. Stayed at about 70 degrees. Sat in plastic bucket one week, then bottled with 3/4 cup corn sugar. Carbonated and conditioned two weeks, then sampled. | |||||||
Tasting: | At two weeks a bit harsh, but not bad. Another two weeks and it was excellent. Next time I might try adding coffee. |
