Alcohol: 5.4% v/v (4.3% w/w)
Water: Bottled Spring H2O
Grain: 6 lb. British pale
2 lb. Belgian aromatic
1 lb. American crystal 60L
8 oz. American chocolate
8 oz. Roasted barley
1 lb. Flaked barley
Mash: 80% efficiency
60 minute mash at 154 degrees.
Mash out at 168 degrees for 15 minutes.
Sparge to collect 7.0 gallons of wort.
Boil: 75 minutes SG 1.045 7.0 gallons
Hops: 1.25 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 60 min.)
Yeast: Harvested Wyeast 1084 from oatmeal stout 2- weeks ago.
2nd generation.
Log: Brew date 12-29-02. My boil gravity was 1.045
showing 80% efficiency. BUT my OG at the fermentor
was actually 1.052.
Carbonation: 3/4 cup corn sugar
