I won a bunch of Chinook hops at TRUB competition
So this was made to use them up.

Mash: | 82% efficiency | |||||||
This is about as much grain, that can be put in my mash tun. Dough in, thick mash temp hit approx. 62°C. Hold approx 20 min. Add more H20 temp 67°C. Hold for approx 40 min. recirculate 3 gal. start sparge. Efficiency was down a bit, maybe cause we didn' get temp higher. (70°C). |

3 whirl flocs per kettle. at 20 min. run through wort chiller. |

Hops: | 4 oz. Chinook (13.1% AA, 60 min.) 2 oz. Chinook (13.1% AA, 30 min.) 2 oz. Cascade (aroma) |

Yeast: | Wyeast 1098, british ale. 2 1400ml cultures split between 4 carboys. Did not see active fermentation til 36 hours after pitching. Wort may ave been a bit warm. |
