6 oz. British chocolate
6 oz. British black patent
2 oz. Roasted barley
Mash: 70% efficiency
Mash in at 154° for 60 minutes. Sparge at 170°
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.047 6.5 gallons
Irish Moss at 15 to go in the boil
Hops: .75 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 60 min.)
.75 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 35 min.)
1.25 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 2 min.)
1.25 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 2 min.)
Yeast: WLP023 Burton Ale Yeast
From the famous brewing town of Burton upon Trent, England, this yeast is packed with character. It provides delicious subtle fruity flavors like apple, clover honey and pear. Great for all English styles, IPA's, bitters, and pales. Excellent in porters and stouts.
