3-Kiss Stout

This is my Guinness-clone, and I came pretty close.

Brewer: Rocco Tool's Email: -
Beer: 3-Kiss Stout Style: Irish Dry Stout
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5. gallons
Color:
73 HCU (~28 SRM)
Bitterness: 34 IBU
OG: 1.040 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 3.6% v/v (2.9% w/w)
Grain: 4 oz. American chocolate
8 oz. Roasted barley
8 oz. Flaked barley
Steep: Steeped grain in nylon hose for 30 minutes, at 150 degrees.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.067 3. gallons
4.1 lb. Light dry malt extract
Added hops at 50 minutes. This keeps the protein from coating them and inhibiting utilization.
Hops: 1. oz. Chinook (12% AA, 50 min.)
Yeast: Lallemand Windsor dry yeast.
Log: Rehydrated yeast and fermented in bucket 12 days. Racked and bottle-conditioned a full two weeks.
Tasting: Aroma-roasted notes and sweet. Taste-Nicely roasted and smooth. The hops flavor was perfect with the bitterness of the grains leading the way.It finishes with a crisp, roasted and slightly chocolate flavor. As complex and tender as three simultaneous kisses.
