27 HCU (~14 SRM)
Bitterness: 36 IBU
OG: 1.051 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 5.1% v/v (4.0% w/w)
Water: Bottled PA Spring Water.
Grain: 1 lb. American Munich
1 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
8 oz. Belgian Special B
Mash: 40% efficiency
Mashed grains at about 155°F for 1 hour. Sparged with
2 gallons of water at about 170°F.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.043 6 gallons
5 lb. Extra-Light dry malt extract
1/4 oz. Irish Moss Powder with 20 minutes left in boil.
Hops: 1 oz. Spalt (6.75% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Mt. Hood (4.5% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Mt. Hood (aroma)
Yeast: 1 pkg of Wyeast 1007 German Ale Yeast-(Activator).
Carbonation: Not sure if I'm going to bottle of keg. If bottle, will use
5 oz. Corn Sugar at bottling time to carbonate.
