I thought up this recipe after touring the Samuel Adams Brewery in Boston.

Grain: | 1 lb. American crystal 60L | |||||||
Steep: | Steep grains to 170 degrees for 30 minutes | |||||||
Boil: | 60 minutes | SG 1.055 | 5.5 gallons | |||||
3.3 lb. Light malt extract 3.3 lb. Amber malt extract 1 lb. Light dry malt extract |

Use 1 tsp of Irish Moss at 45 minutes into boil. | ||||||||
Hops: | 1 oz. Galena (13% AA, 60 min.) 1 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 30 min.) 1 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 15 min.) 1 oz. Tettnanger (aroma) |

Yeast: | 2 15gm packs of Cooper's dry ale yeast | |||||||
Log: | Primary fermentation for 1 week. 2 weeks in secondary. Primed with corn sugar. Conditioned in the bottle for 2 weeks. | |||||||
Tasting: | Nice tasting brew. Good mouth feel and alot of body. |
