Yellowjacket Ale

While the yellowjacket is the most painful of all the bees, Yellowjacket Ale is not. Light enough for summer with a slight hint of fruitiness from the hops.

Type: All grain Size: 10 gallons
Color:
5 HCU (~4 SRM)
Bitterness: 29 IBU
OG: 1.057 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 6.0% v/v (4.7% w/w)
Water: Good old fashioned well water.
Grain: 18 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. 8 oz. American Vienna
1 lb. American crystal 10L
Mash: 75% efficiency
Single step infusion at 153° for one hour.
Sparge at 175°.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.045 12.5 gallons
1 tablespoon of irish moss at 15 min.
Hops: 2 oz. Cascade (5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: East Coast Ale yeast.
Tasting: This is the recipe I will work off of to make the recipe for Hoppy Beez, which will be an American Pale Ale.
Instead of Cascade hops I used Crystal.
