An attempt at something like Atwater's Vanilla Java Porter

Type: All grain Size: 5.0 gallons

103 HCU (~36 SRM)
Bitterness: 28 IBU
OG: 1.053 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 5.6% v/v (4.4% w/w)
Water: 1 Tbs 5.2 mash stabilizer.
Grain: 7 lb. 8 oz. Maris Otter
1 lb. American crystal 90L
8 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
10 oz. American chocolate
6 oz. American black patent
8 oz. Raw wheat
Mash: 70% efficiency
Single infusion mash. 3.5 gal water for 60 min at 155F (strike at 167F). Continuous sparge with 170F water to collect 6.5 gallons.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.041 6.5 gallons
1 tsp irish moss last 15 minutes.
Hops: 1 oz. Kent Goldings (Leaf) (6.3% AA, 60 min.)
0.25 oz. Mt Hood (Pellet) (5.2% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (Leaf) (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast 1056 (4th generation) from previous beers.
Log: Cold brew 2 quarts kona coffee with 2 Tbs pure vanilla extract. Add to keg.
Carbonation: Keg and force carbonate.
